Something a bit different today. Here’s a render of a low polygon model from https://www.lowpolylab.net
They have some very nice models you can download so checkout their site.

An Intel Core i7 Processor.
Here’s a look at the back of it:

Nice 3D Globe Model. This one is more realistic that the monochromatic one published a few day ago:
The download for this model file includes some very detailed textures:

I’m trying something a little different for the 20th render of the day. Rather than picking a model from the 3d archive that works well with 3D Box Shot Pro and rendering it, I have created some new content that you can use with the program.
One of the quirks of 3D Box Shot Pro is that you can’t apply a depth texture to a surface of a model unless you have already loaded a texture onto that surface of the model. While you can apply flat colour to individual model surfaces using the controls in the surface tab of the program, these are not textures, so you still can’t apply a depth texture.
To work around this issue I have created a series of 32 1×1 .PNG files that can be loaded as textures onto model surfaces in 3D Box Shot Pro.
The program will automatically scale the 1 x 1 file to fit the assigned texture space on the model’s surface.
Here’s an example of these 1×1 textures in action with depth mapping in 3D Box Shot Pro:
You can download a zip file containing 32 x 1×1 .png images of autumnal colour here:

A monochromatic planet earth. This was made by loading this texture
Onto a 3d model of a ball:

It’s a Starbuck’s Coffee Cup. This provides a good example of how easy it can be to modify model textures.
In this example I add the text “you’re beautiful” to the texture in Photoshop and reloaded it onto the model:

Mason & Co Chocolate Bars. This provides a nice example of the copy and paste functions in 3D Box Shot Pro.
Once the lighting and shadows were set up correctly for one of the bars, this was simply copy and pasted to create the rest of them. They just needed to be repositioned and textured appropriately.

A nice cup dish and spoon combination. The dish is too big to be a saucer. The spoon appears a little too large to be a teaspoon. However if you would like to try this out in 3D Box Shot Pro, the download link to the model is under the images:
Crossed Swords. This provides a nice demonstration of how easy it is to copy and paste models in 3D Box Shot Pro. A single model rapier was loaded into the program and tweaked a little bit to add some environment mapping to it. It was then copied and pasted with a couple of mouse clicks…

Render of the day #14 already! Doesn’t time fly? Two solid weeks worth of daily rendering… For today’s render we looking at 3D Box Shot Pro’s bump mapping feature that does a nice job of generating the suede texture on this sofa model:
Let’s take a closer look:
