3D Box Shot Pro vs Free 3D Box Shot Maker

Our product 3D Box Shot Pro isn't free. There is a reason for this. We spend months developing new versions of the software, spending a huge amount of time to insure that is it the best quality product of its kind on the market.
We spend hours helping customers with technical support, solving hardware and driver related issues on their machines and helping them with their designs. We respond to feature requests and actively develop the software. New features get added and the product continues to get better and better. This is only possible because people are prepared to pay for it.
Of course there are freeware options available. The one we're going to look at in this article is called Bosseye Box Shot Maker.

Please note that exactly the same texture images were used in both programs. Some things you might like to look for.
1. The 3D Box Shot Pro image has x16 Antialiasing applied when the image is rendered.
2. Anisotropic Filtering is applied to improve the texture quality in 3D Box Shot Pro, whereas Free Box Shot Maker actually corrupts the textures and makes them look worse.
3. The 3D Box Shot Pro box image has lighting applied to it and has high quality soft shadows and reflections.
4. The Free Box Shot Maker box shot is fake 3d. The two images you load in are skewed by the program to create the illusion of a 3D Box. In 3D Box Shot Pro the images are loaded onto a real 3D model, which you can rotate, pan and zoom in realtime.

Using a free box shot maker to market your products is like shooting yourself in the foot before running a marathon. Even if you have no artistic skills at all and can't see the difference in quality between the free 3D Box Shot Maker and 3D Box Shot Pro, you can be certain your potential customers will. A bad box shot is much worse than no box shot at all. Putting it simply, using a free box shot maker is just a short cut to failure. Poor quality Freeware authors aren't doing you any favours by giving their products away free. They are luring you into a trap that can be disasterous for your business venture.
